OUR STORY:
The Felix Organization was founded in 2006 by Rock ’n Roll Hall of Famer, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels and Emmy Award-winning casting director, Sheila Jaffe after they connected through their shared experiences as adoptees and were inspired to share their good fortune with children who had not been “taken home” as they had.
In 2020, we created a Culture Book to encapsulate the philosophy, vision, and culture of The Felix Organization. Please read below.

In November 2008, we hosted the first annual Thanksgiving Feast-i-val at Hill Country Barbecue restaurant in New York City, where kids and families gathered for delicious food, dancing, and special live performances. We have hosted the feast-i-val every Sunday before Thanksgiving since then.

2012
In 2012, we launched the Beyond Camp grant program to support our youth in pursuing their interests and goals throughout the school year to remove any barriers to success our youth may experience outside of Camp Felix®.
2013
In 2013, began our Secret Santa fundraising campaign asking Felix supporters to donate gift cards to distribute to older youth in foster care who are often overlooked during the holiday season. In 2015, the campaign grew to include a generous donation of toys raised at Robby Browne and Sage USA's annual Toy Party.
